Ori Ronen and the Folk Stoners are an indie folk band from the area near the Israeli Gaza border. On days where there are no military operations, sirens or rockets, the band creates a sound that captures the cool atmosphere and their easy going lifestyle in the Northern Negev Desert in Israel.

Ori’s material conveys his experiences from his life, lovers and his travels across the globe with a backpack, guitar and harmonica. Their unique style is influenced by the 60’s folk rock explosion and the rising indie folk scene of today.

They kicked off in the summer of 2016 after Ori played solo for two years as a singer-songwriter act. The mix between Ori’s “dreamy” voice and the boost of drums-bass-cello-guitar and backing vocals, gave the band a unique, loosen, folk’n’rolly sound.

In 2019 the band released their debut album, ‘Walk & Found’. It has received positive reviews and played on several stations in Israel, Germany and Australia.
